The first mass-produced electric cars drove a little more than 100 km without recharging.
The new gold standard is over 300 km, but there are models that can do more. For example, the Chinese Aion LX Plus, which has a stated travel range of more than 1000 km.
It won't take as long to charge an electric car as before. Fast charging with direct current at large electric charging stations (ECS) allows you to do this in an hour. At a station with a power of 150 kW, an electric car gets a range of up to 100 km in 10 minutes. To help motorists, there are applications with EPS maps (for example, PlugShare from Recarego). Charging from a 220 V home outlet will require a whole night - it charges the car in one hour for 7–14 km of travel, and a special home station – for 30–40 km of travel.
According to the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA), in the Netherlands there are an average of 47 electric filling stations for every 100 km of highways, in Germany - 19. But the EU also has its outsiders: in Lithuania, Latvia, Greece, Poland and Romania there is one electric filling station per 200 km or more. In Montenegro, at the beginning of 2022, there is one station per 170 km of track. In order to reach Norway's current level, we must install another 3,250 charging stations.
